4 pupils from Tilbury Pioneer Academy took part in a Karate grading test. Alex for her yellow belt (who managed to double grade and passed yellow and orange belt tests). Ben passed his red belt test. River and Tia both also managed to double grade passing their red and green belt test.

Young Writer - Lily-May
Lily-May recently entered a national writing competition for Explore Learning, a tuition centre in Intu Lakeside. She found out about the competition inside The Week Junior, a weekly newspaper for children. Lily-May wrote a short science fiction story, set in the future, and won the regional prize. Many of our Year 3 started their swimming lessons as non-swimmers, but as you can see we celebrated these pupils success as they earned stripes for crossing the pool unaided. They then move on to blue stripe for crossing the pool on their front and returning on their back. They have shown Perseverance, our Great Learning Behaviour, to develop their skills. Well Done!
